Defeat Dripping Candles With Salt
Avoid the annoying clean ups of runaway candle wax with this simple trick. Soak them in very salty water for a few hours and dry them thoroughly then light your amazing drip free candles.
Zap Tree Sap
You finally got your Christmas tree to stand up straight in the tree stand and it looks great. But your hands are another story. To get that sticky sap off your fingers, rub them with shortening and then wipe them off with a paper towel. Now you can wash your hands and get back to admiring your tree.
For Blondes Only
Have you ever come out of a swimming pool and discover a greenish tint in your hair from the chlorine? Just dissolve an aspirin in a cup of water and pour it over your hair, making sure to saturate it from roots to ends. Massage well and then rinse.
Quiet a Squeaky Floor
If your hardwood floor squeaks whenever you step in a certain spot, try sprinkling a little cornstarch or baby powder between the boards.
Crush Cookies For a Creative Pie Crust
Tired of graham cracker crusts? Add variety to your pie crusts by using all sorts of delicious ingredients. Try each of the following. When crushed, these will make approximately one cup of crumbs:
- 20 chocolate wafers
- 30 vanilla wafers

Great Way To Flour A Pan
When baking a cake, use a little bit of the dry cake mix to flour the pan instead of using flour. By doing this, you avoid that messy floury white coating that ends up on your cake.
