Save Your Cell Phone With Rice
To save a wet phone the first thing to remember is DON'T TURN IT ON! Instead, take the phone's battery out, along with the sim card inside. Set them aside. Now, use a highly absorbent wipe or cloth to dry the surface of your cell phone as thoroughly as possible. Be sure to dry the compartment for the battery and between the buttons.
Now, here is where mother nature comes to the rescue. Take the sim card, battery and the phone and put each piece in a jar filled with uncooked rice. Let is sit for at least 24 hours with the rice surrounding and burying each piece.
After the 24 hours, remove you cell phone from the rice, dust it off, and reassemble. Presto, your phone should work as good as new!
